Chance for heavy rain lasting through weekend, cool air next week

Friday night: Partly cloudy with lows in the mid-30s. The high pressure is forecast to move north over the weekend, pushing the cloud cover out of the Sacramento area and sending temperatures into the mid-70s.

Friday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 73. Temperatures will manage to warm into the mid 70s this afternoon anyway, but it will be a little cooler with highs around 70 north. North-northwest wind 3 to 6 miles per hour.

Wednesday has clearer skies through the afternoon but the winds are still brisk as highs are even cooler in the upper 30s. Light west-northwest wind. Our next chance for rain will be Saturday night through around noon Sunday.

Highs start around 20 on Monday and climb day by day to the upper-20s on Thursday. North-northwest wind 5 to 9 miles per hour. Monday night we will cool to the mid-40s with partly cloudy skies. It will be partly sunny with a 50 percent chance of snow in the morning.

Tuesday: Partly sunny, with a high near 75.

Tuesday through Wednesday now look like they will be partly cloudy to mostly cloudy with highs in the upper 60s/ low 70s with south/ southeast winds at 5-15 miles per hour. Looks like there will be a chance for rain each day as well.
