Additionally, the Samsung Galaxy C5 Pro sports an FM radio like most midranges do.
Samsung's new phones will be very unique. The Samsung Galaxy A5 (2017) comes with 5.2-inch Super AMOLED Full HD display with a resolution of 1080*1920 pixels, carrying a pixel density of 423 PPI.
Not so long ago, this Samsung Galaxy A5 2017 model appeared on the FCC, an indicator that its launch in North America was imminent. As such the South Korean tech giant has officially unveiled the Galaxy C5 Pro in China and the smartphone has also been listed on the company's website. With the smaller form factor, this new device also comes with a smaller 2,600mAh battery.
Both the phones are powered by Samsung's in-house Exynos 7880 SoC, which is an octa-core chip with all the eight cores clocked at 1.9GHz. It further comes with up to 64GB of internal memory which is also expandable.
Both smartphones are packed in IP68 certified dust and water resistant metallic and glass combination bodies and have an identical appearance. By the looks of it, the SIM card tray is situated atop the device, while the headphone jack is found at the bottom, alongside the USB-C charging port, microphone and speaker grille.
For photography, it has a f/1.9 aperture 19-megapixel camera on its rear panel as well as on its front side. But as per earlier reports, the Galaxy C5 Pro is expected to be priced at 2499 Yuan which is approximately Rs 24,154.
The phone is supported with all needed connectivity traits including Bluetooth v4.2, Wi-Fi 802.11a/b/g/n, GPS, NFC, and 4G LTE.
Upgrades to the camera and fingerprint scanner are expected plus a new home button could be embedded under the screen.
We reported in late February that the Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8 Plus release date was confirmed for April 21 but Samsung had not yet settled on an exact date to begin preorders of its new smartphones.
