No more than 24 hours after McLaren added a new chapter to their Super Series story in Geneva, MSO is announcing this bespoke "Velocity" theme for the 720S.
As a complete vehicle, the McLaren 720S Velocity costs around $407,560 (£335,000) but it's really to demonstrate just what MSO can do for its customers. Naturally, McLaren wants a premium on the new MSO Velocity, so the buyers should expect a price "in the region of £335,000", which is a pretty cool upgrade from the standard vehicle. The carbon fiber bodywork is painted in a mix of Nerello Red, used for the upper and front of the auto, fading into Volcano Red for the car's back - contrasted by metallic-bronze ten-spoke wheels. "The lean, sculpted beauty of the new 720S provides the flawless starting point for owners to be creative and the specification of this MSO 720S "Velocity" showcases a taste of the customization options that are possible".
"Super Series is the core of the McLaren business and personifies the blend of extreme performance, crafted luxury and unparalleled driver involvement that is the McLaren heartland", said chief executive Mike Flewitt.
The alloy wheels are finished in a shade of metallic bronze.
The two-seater still packs a twin-turbo 4.0-liter V-8 engine that delivers 710 hp and 568 lb-ft of torque.
Aside from the hood, the 720S Velocity receives many glossy carbon-fiber bits including a rear deck vent, service cover, rear aero bridge, and sill cover that's done in a satin carbon trim. To compliment the carbon black are touches of Harissa red leather, which are included on the steering wheel, fascia, doors and across the sport seats. There's also a lot of Alcantara, carbon and contrast stitching for the interior. The others are GT, Pacific, Track and Stealth.
