Thor Ragnarok: First Looks At Thor, Hela And Valkyrie Revealed

The new cover of Entertainment Weekly has revealed that Thor: Ragnarok will see a cropped God Of Thunder in brand new armour that looks significantly lighter weight than his last appearance in Avengers: Age Of Ultron.

Thor: Ragnarok is directed by Taika Waititi and returns Chris Hemsworth starring as Thor and Tom Hiddleston reprising his role as Loki. Blanchett's Hela, the Goddess Of Death, is accidentally released from prison and intends to cause more chaos than even Begbie from Trainspotting's sequel.

"[Director Taika Waititi] has such a quirky, left-of-field sense of humor, which forced all the characters and the tone of the whole story to head in a new direction", Hemsworth continued. "Each day we were like, 'Are we pushing it too far?"

We haven't seen much from the movie yet, but EW just gave us our first look at the new and improved Thor - which looks like it's going to be fantastic! But perhaps most importantly, Thor has a new haircut.

Sakaar was also a major component of Greg Pak's Incredible Hulk storyline "Planet Hulk", wherein Hulk becomes an intergalactic gladiator. Then light that bag on fire and begin to dance gleefully around it, your soul unburdened by years of needless anxiety, and-after the salon employees come out back to try to find the source of the acrid black smoke that's now choking the air and infiltrating their vents-tell them that you're keeping an open mind about the next Thor movie. Hela's attack on Thor sends him to a desolate planet called Sakaar where he realizes he's no longer special compared to the people on this world.

"Thor Ragnarok" is set to premiere in theaters on November 3, 2017. Waititi is possibly one of the funniest and more creative directors's in the industry but a lot of people seem to be anxious about the tonal shifts he's bringing to Thor: Ragnarok.

Another thing you may want to take note of is that Thor logo is very colorful. "Also, his strength is pretty easily matched with those he finds himself amongst".

"I think tonally it's like a slight shift", Waititi said. "I don't feel nervous - I feel good about it".
