Will The Pixel 2 Drop The Headphone Jack Like The iPhone 7?

On Monday, 9To5Google reported about getting its hands on an integral document from from Google that mentions details about the next flagship smartphone offering of the technology company. This year, Google too may join the list of smartphone makers to ditch the outdated analog connector with its new Pixel smartphones. The site says it has seen internal documents from Google that state unequivocally that the standard headphone jack on Google's new Pixel is kaput. In fact, we're not even sure the new phones will be called "Pixel 2" and "Pixel XL 2". The Pixel features cutting-edge specs, a class-leading camera, the latest and greatest version of the Android operating system - which is something most Android smartphones can not say - and a stunning all-glass and aluminum design.

A questionable Pixel 2 source?

Sadly, the answer is yes according to an integral Google document, which also asserts that the Mountain View giant could instead be including a single USB Type-C port for charging and audio purposes on the upcoming Pixel 2.

Apple fans were irate in the months leading up to the iPhone 7's release because of the rumor that it would ditch the headphone jack, which turned out to be true. Also, it's likely that Google hasn't finalized its plans regarding the next generation Pixel handsets, so anything can happen in the end. We will have to wait until both the Google Pixel 2 and the Google Pixel XL 2 become a reality.
