Friday, March 3rd Forecast: Rain returns tonight and lasts into next week

"Another 8-12" is expected to fall today and winds will continue out of the SSW from 18-24mph with gusts up into the mid to upper 30's.

The rain and snow will be heaviest this weekend with off and on showers. Cloudy, with a high near 29. Southwest wind 15 to 17 miles per hour, with gusts as high as 26 miles per hour. Winds could gust as high as 25 miles per hour.

Sunday night - A 20 percent chance of rain before 10 p.m. Partly cloudy after sundown, with a low of 38. Southwest wind 5 to 10 miles per hour becoming southeast after midnight.

Increasing clouds and winds today with highs in the 40's.

Monday, March 6 - Sunny, with a high near 62.

By Monday morning we could see an additional 5-10 inches at the base, and 10-15 inches on the mountain. Mostly cloudy overnight with a 20 percent chance of showers, low of 50.

In a special weather statement that was updated Saturday afternoon, the Weather Service said snow totals through Monday will vary depending on elevation.

There will be a chance of rain before 8 p.m. Wednesday, changing to a chance of rain and snow between 8 and 9. Chance of precipitation is 30%. We expect to have the lower Mountain open for Monday at this time.
