St Pierre opens comeback in big verbal exchange with Bisping

There are so many elements to this that make it fascinating, and no matter what happens, fans can expect a pretty solid contest between the two legends of the sport.

The UFC hasn't set a date for the fight, and St. Pierre must clear hurdles in medical examination and drug testing first.

"Ooh. [in a dodgy French accent] a lot of things".

"We honestly don't know", White said in a text message to Postmedia.

"I hope you're ready", he goaded. In this case I'm the world champion, so I can't allow a fight that has nothing to do with me at this current point to take over the mindset of fighting Wonderboy. The date and location have yet to be decided, but according to White, they "probably will not fight" in St-Pierre's home country of Canada.

St. Pierre was greeted by a belligerent Bisping, who showed up late and then came out swinging verbally.

The pair will face each other in a 185-pound title fight later this year as 35-year-old St-Pierre, looks to end Bisping's five-fight unbeaten run. "You think I'm an easy fight", Bisping said to St-Pierre. "I'm focusing on short-term goals". After a lengthy sabbatical, he is returning for a 185-pound bout with Bisping, the gritty English veteran who won his title in a shocking upset of Luke Rockhold a year ago.

"I'll go out on an all-night bender and still beat you, pal", Bisping replied. "Guys are talking about money fights and I'm like, 'You're not a money fight'". "Just like Anderson [Silva] did". Just like Luke Rockhold did when I knocked him out in the first round. And time and time again, I prove them wrong. So this guy [Georges], the greatest of all time. Who didn't want to face Anderson Silva when he was the man, but he comes out of retirement to face me? "Yeah, real good fighter". He has never fought at middleweight, but opened up as a slight favorite over Bisping according to the Oddessa Line. There were already middleweight contenders waiting in the wings for a title shot, including Yoel Romero (12-1) and Ronaldo "Jacare" Souza (24-4).

"He's one of our biggest stars, White said". "Georges wanted this fight. When do you want to fight?" My focus left me that fight. So, we did it.

The French-Canadian superstar discussed the changes in the organization and talked about feeling revitalized, but refused to go into specifics about his plans beyond this bout with Bisping, frequently comparing the UFC landscape to the stock market and wanting to see whose stock is highest when the dust settles from this bout before making his next move.
