The answer is no - and yes. Plus it also has a high chance of leaving behind all X-Men ensemble movies and all previous Wolverine spinoffs when it comes to box-office earnings.
Featuring Hugh Jackman's final turn as Wolverine, "Logan" isn't a shiny, colorful, superhero-style film, either.
But while there may not be an after-credits scene in Logan, there could still be some hints of a sequel.
The almost three-minute clip that appears after Logan is the first official teaser for Deadpool 2, the sequel to Fox's blockbuster, R-rated superhero movie from a year ago.
That's because old age has caught up to Wolverine (Hugh Jackman) with a vengeance.
But the movie is more than just box-office gold.
"As soon as I saw the script, I got it", Hugh told EW. Let us know below. The complexity of storylines involving Logan, Laura and their fates are woven perfectly.
Hugh Jackman's Wolverine has been a joy of a character for X-Men and comic book movie fans. Logan and Xavier unwillingly become a part of the plan to save Laura and the trio embark on a unsafe adventure, which forms the crux of the film. But Logan's attempts to hide from the world and his legacy are upended when a young mutant, Laura, (Dafne Keen) arrives, being pursued by unspeakable dark forces.
There will likely be a huge crowd waiting to see Logan on its opening weekend. The R-rated Marvel anti-hero flick is going to make the biggest debut of 2017. Fox sees $65M stateside; rivals say it will break $70M.
It needs to be addressed in some form, that's for sure, and Sinister being revealed as the man who was indirectly responsible for the death of Wolverine would make him a bad guy fans will hate from the very start.
"I have been, first teasingly, then increasingly seriously, pitching a Broadway idea to Hugh here, I think each time I do I think he listens a little more carefully", Stewart, 76, said during a Build Series talk this week.
