At Mobile World Congress, old-style phones are new again

While Samsung has made a decision to put off the launch of its flagship smartphone, the Galaxy S8, to a later event on the last week of March, the company introduced two new tablet devices during the Mobile World Congress - the Galaxy Book 10 and Galaxy Book 12. In the pre-iPhone days, Nokia ruled for long as the top mobile phone brand until the smartphone dethroned the brand which is aiming for a comeback.

The Nokia 3310 has been immortalized online with a proliferation of memes lauding its "indestructible" nature. "HMD must appeal to those consumers who recall the Nokia brand from when Nokia was the leading handset and smartphone manufacturer in the early 2000s while establishing Nokia as a modern and up to date brand again known for innovation", Fogg explained. They are Nokia's candy-bar phones and a Blackberry with QWERTY keyboard. All other features are shared with the vanilla Nokia 6. It doesn't have all the features of most smartphones of today like touchscreen, Android or Windows operating system and it doesn't even have a camera. "And India will be a critical market as close to 145 million feature phones will be sold in the country in 2017", Pathak said. They will be releasing phones of different price ranges which will be suitable for a variety of users.

Nokia 3310 comes in three new colourful options and supports 2G.

For the company to effectively launch the Nokia 3310 in the US, it would have to get the device registered on any one of the leading carriers' portfolio. It's back with a little update that makes it even more fun to play on the colour screen.

The phone comes in the original navy blue, as well as in red, yellow and grey. With new designs and month-long battery life. It has a maximum MP3 playback time of up to 51 hours and maximum FM radio playback time of up to 39 hours.

The G6, which runs on Android 7, will also come with a key highlight in the Dolby Vision video support, making it the first smartphone to offer such a feature.

Earlier last month, the start-up company confirmed that they have acquired the rights from Nokia to resurrect the famous model phone since a year ago. The Canadian company is planning to expand its smartphone portfolio and hopes to capitalize on good memories. The new phone will have a 2-megapixel shooter and a 2.4-inch, 240.320 screen, which is by no means outstanding but still a better resolution than the original model. The phone will be available in both Single SIM and dual-SIM. A microSD card slot that can accommodate up to 256 GB can be seen in all smartphone models.

But for the time being, the Nokia 3310 is really not the phone you should consider buying as your primary talk/text device. The camera also has something called Motion Eye, that starts shooting photos a few nanoseconds before you depress the shutter, eliminating missed shots. 4, GSM for 850/900/1800/1900; WCDMA for Band 1, 2, 5, 8; and LTE for Band 1, 3, 5, 7, 8, 20, 28, 38, 40, Micro USB (USB 2.0), USB OTG, Wi-Fi, and Bluetooth 4.1.
