(Update) Ultra Street Fighter II hits Switch in May in Japan

Capcom has confirmed that the game will make its way to Nintendo Switch just in time for summer, with a May 26 release date.

Capcom was yet to announce the release date of Ultra Street Fighter II: The Final Challengers. It also has a price tag of $39.99, which may seem a little hefty to those who purchased Super Street Fighter II Turbo HD years back for like $15, but the extra features should certainly make it worthwhile. And simply put, to charge $40 for a reissue is absurd. This would be fine, but it's essentially a port of a game released back in 2008. Passing off remakes with a few new features of classic titles and gauging prices is not the solution.

Features a stellar line-up of characters, including all of the original fighters and bosses, the characters added in Super Street Fighter II, plus the first new additions in almost 20 years: Evil Ryu and Violent Ken!

Aside from the two new characters Evil Ryu and Violent Ken, "Ultra Street Fighter II: The Final Challengers" will include all of the original fighters, bosses, plus characters later added in the game.

Utilize the motion controls of the Joy-Con in "Way of the Hado" mode, a new first-person single player experience where players attempt to defeat the Shadaloo army using signature Hadouken and Shoryuken special moves!

I'm curious to see how the game will play with multiple Switches networked locally.
