SuperData: Nintendo Switch sales predicted to hit 5 million units in 2017

Nintendo Switch is due to release on March 3, 2017, worldwide. If a particular game developer would like their game to be as mobile as possible, as opposed to being played indoors, why not?

It was unclear for a time why Nintendo Switch Pre Orders may have been cancelled, however, Game has now stated the reasons why certain people are needing to change their orders. The only difference is the amount of time the press has been able to spend with it.

Strictly as hardware, the Switch is an interesting hybrid console that mixes ideas from the last two generations of Nintendo consoles and improves on them. This touch-sensitive rhythm title is not new to the market, since it was released on iOS and Android platforms in 2016.

The other game from Chucklefish Games is a throwback to games from Nintendo and Intelligent Systems from the previous decade.

The launch title's FAQ gave the game (pardon the pun) away as shown below. The latest innovation from Nintendo is created to let gamers play anywhere with the freedom of swapping the console from TV mode to handheld mode thanks to the versatile Joy-Con remotes.

Con: Regardless of where you take Switch in its portable mode, you have to be keenly aware of the nearest light source. Button operation is not available. If you're sitting on the fence about also picking up the Switch Pro Controller, an extra incentive for doing so has been revealed. In a new video, we see the Nintendo Switch eShop, news app, and the main menu demoed.

Pro: Games load in a snap. How our Nintendo accounts will be integrated remains to be seen - we'll update this review as and when. It also covers use of the controller with Android (iOS hasn't been tested).

Pocket Gamer, which has its pulse on the British gaming scene like no one else, has a roundup of Twitter reactions to this unfortunate news, and as you might guess, it's not pretty. One of these games, Shovel Knight: Treasure Trove, along with Skylanders Imaginators, and I am Setsuna, have also already been released on other consoles.

Tumbleseed - You're a seed trying to save its home in this physics-based puzzler, coming to Switch this spring.
