The newly offered plans under Reliance Jio Prime subscription can be availed by both existing Jio users and those who subscribe to Jio's services till March 31, 2017. Unlike the transfer to the "Happy New Year" plan, users need to subscribe to the Jio Prime for a price of Rs 99 per month.
Reliance Jio, one of the country's fastest growing telecom network, has announced that it will start enrolling customers under its Jio Prime membership plan from today. Through its invitational offers, millions helped Jio expand its subscriber base to a record 100 million within 170 days of the launch.
Jio Prime plan is the extension of company's "Happy New Year" offer. Once done, users can avail the unlimited data plan for Rs 303 per month. Others include Rs. 91 (2 GB data), Rs. 201 (5 GB data), and Rs. 301 (10 GB data). Hence, Mukesh Ambani, CEO of Reliance, declared new rates and offers that will start from April 1, 2017. To compare, the same Rs.499 recharge without Jio Prime Membership will only give you 5GB of data for 30 days.
Besides this offer, the company is also giving 6GB of data and 248 talk time with the recharge of Rs. 248 and 6GB of data at just Rs. 148.
In case you run out of data in the middle of your current tariff or billing cycle, Reliance also gives you an option to add data to your pack without recharging again. The chart below lists all the plans available for prepaid and postpaid users.
One question that many people have asked is whether the Prime Membership Plans have a FUP for voice calls.
Should you opt in for Jio Prime?
Jio subscribers will be able to make local/STD calls and send up to 100 SMS per day for free, and if they wish to make worldwide calls or send global SMS, several top-up options are available.
But you need to note that Jio demands that you have to recharge with a minimum of Rs. 149 per month for you to remain a Jio Prime user.
