Barcelona go top as Ronaldo rescues point for Real Madrid

Real Madrid playmaker Isco gave Real an eighth-minute lead before Tana levelled with a firm shot. He was initially shown a yellow card by referee David Borbalan for a kick out at Jonathan Viera but was then shown a straight red card for lifting his hand to the Las Palmas playmaker.

With a man-advantage, Las Palmas would eventually go 3-1 up, via goals from Viera, with a penalty and Kevin Prince-Boateng.

Having watched Barcelona put six past Sporting Gijon earlier in the night, Real Madrid knew they needed to win to keep their buffer of Messi his pals, but things did not go to plan despite a flawless start against Las Palmas. Real Madrid now find themselves in second place in the La Liga title race following their thrilling 3-3 draw at home to Las Palmas on Wednesday night.

According to Spanish daily El Confidencial, Chelsea have been keeping tabs on the player's situation and could make a move for him at the end of the season. "We're all on the same ship and we're going to turn this around". You always need more time to recover, but it is what it is and we have to accept it. After a confident victory in the end of January on the "Valencia" 3: 1, "yellow" cannot win the last four games in a row after scoring during this period only one goal.
