He says, "Bhavya was part of the show for eight years and has grown up with it". After the SAB TV show adapted the show from his book based on his columns, they dedicated the title to popular writer. Over the years, he became one of the favourites with the audience. Recently, one of the most popular actors of the show Bhavya Gandhi who played the role of Tappu left the serial. It revolves around the adventures of the residents of Gokuldham Society and every episode carries a social message.
Mr Mehta wrote satire humour column Duniya Ne Undha Chasma for a Gujarati daily. However, Bhavya couldn't act as a college student or a grown-up.
The actor revealed that he was looking for a change after playing the muchloved character for eight years. As the show progressed naturally, he was shown as a college going kid. "I will miss every corner of the set and still meet the Tapu sena once every week", says the 19-year-old Bhavya who is now pursing the Bachelor of Arts degree from Mithibai College. He has already signed a Gujarati movie and has been shooting day and night in Gujarat.
On the personal front, Bhavya announced in 2016, that he is dating his co-star Nidhi Bhanushali, who plays Sonu on the same show.
