The announcement was made ahead of the start of the Mobile World Congress tech show in Barcelona. Like its predecessor, it will still be called the Nokia 3310, but this time it's running Nokia's Series 30+ software, with a 2.4-inch QVGA display, a 2-megapixel camera, and even a microSD slot. As it turned out, that phone will also include a new version of the classic Nokia Snake mobile game as well.
Also announced at the event was a refreshed version of Nokia's iconic 3310 feature phone, now with funky new colours and the Snake game pre-installed, to rekindle some nostalgia. But, it does support low speed Internet and comes with Opera Mini browser that can handle your daily dose of Social Media such as Facebook and Twitter.
After becoming worldwide famous for his incredible battery life, Nokia 3310 is equipped with a battery that might last for an entire month.
The Nokia 3310 has more or less kept the shape of the original Nokia model but given it the features you need in 2017. The phone has Micro USB (2.0) for connectivity as well as Bluetooth 3.0 with SLAM.
The Finnish handset maker once dominated the mobile phone market, but was overtaken by Apple and Samsung as its popularity waned.
- The phone will be available in four colours.
The device will go on sale in Q2 this year for €49 (around £40), and will be available to pick up in glossy yellow and red colors, and matte grey and dark blue models.
"The company also released three new Android smartphones, the Nokia 6 with a 5.5" full HD screen, the Nokia 5 featuring a glass laminated 5.2" screen and the Nokia 3 with 5" display. The new version will keep its simple 2D gameplay but will have a multicoloured art style instead of a monochrome look of old.
