Mixons character (is an issue), I think Kamara is going to have enough questions why he didnt play more, but I think the other three are going in the first round.
The good news? Mayock thinks two of those positions are pretty stacked in the draft this year.
"And to tell you where this draft is for tackles, the two top guys - Ramczyk and Garett Bolles from Utah - are both one-year starters in major college football, which is kind of fantastic", Mayock said.
As a result of the dearth of pro-ready talent at quarterback, Mayock recognized Patriots backup Jimmy Garoppolo as perhaps the top target for any quarterback-needy team.
Mayock said there's more depth among interior offensive line prospects but "trying to get a starting tackle in this draft is going to be hard".
"If they don't go tackle, where is value at No. 20?"
"If you're asking me whether the Jets should take a quarterback at No. 6, I would emphatically tell you no", Mayock told one reporter, per the NFL Network's official transcript. 1 and 12 picks in the upcoming National Football League draft, and Mayock believes sending the latter of those picks to the Patriots in a package for Garoppolo would be a good idea for Cleveland. The Detroit Lions need a running game! He logged 590 carries in those two seasons - 103 more than Fournette had in the same span - is a productive return man and "an outstanding pass catcher" and "bigger and tougher than people think he is", Mayock said. "Anybody looking for an edge in the first round is going to find them", he said.
McCaffrey, projected by most to be the third running back off the board, ran for 2,019 yards as a true sophomore in 2015 and another 1,603 in three fewer games a year ago.
"When you look at what the Broncos have had - whether it's Virgil Green or [Jeff] Heuerman or whoever - you're probably looking for one of those dynamic receiving types, and that helps a young quarterback". He also noted Ashland's Adam Shaheen, "a small-school kid that's 277 pounds and catches the ball really well".
"As you stack your board, worst case is you're going to get the fourth guy on your board, so you better make sure you have it stacked for production".
Mayock said he considered Garrett and Allen the top two players in the draft.
