The grocery store chain Trader Joe's has recalled some of its apple sauce products because of the "potential presence of glass pieces".
Any jars of Trader Joe's First Crush Unsweetened Gravenstein Apple Sauce with a "Best Before" date on or before August 8, 2018 is covered under the recall.
Trader Joe's All Natural Unsweetened Apple Sauce - all codes through "Best Before Dec. 16, 2018".
Each apple sauce is packaged in a 24 oz. glass jar and customers can find the "Best Before" date stamped on top of the lid.
One other style of applesauce was recalled, but the affected jars of All Natural Unsweetened Apple Sauce weren't sold in the northeast.
Customers who have purchased the products should not consume them, and should return the jars to Trader Joe's for a full refund.
The recall was announced Saturday and Trader Joe's says all potentially impacted applesauce containers have already been pulled from the shelves and destroyed.
