Berkovec collided with his team-mate Daniel Krch, and Kone reacted speedily to make sure the shotstopper didn't swallow his tongue.
Togolese striker Francis Kone saved the life of goalkeeper Martin Berkovec, who almost swallowed his tongue during a Czech league match.
Kone played for four teams in Thailand, Al Musannah in Oman, Olhanense in Portugal and Budapest Honved in Hungary before joining Slovacko in July 2015.
After the game, Berkovec gave thanks to Kone for his heroics.
Berkovec underwent a CT scan in hospital and spent the night under observation and is expected to make a full recovery.
Before Saturday was over, Berkovec was able to thank Kone on Facebook, saying in a post: "I would like to thank Francis Kone for his quick action in saving me during today's match. I'm glad for the help and thanks again!"
"I would like to put sport to one side and thank Kone, who provided first aid", Bohemians coach Miroslav Koubek said.
