It is the film critic's perennial duty, it seems, to address the Academy Awards - a phenomenon that is in no way critic-borne.
Before they get to the red carpet, the 3,300 guests will have to make their way through a three-tiered security perimeter.
Backstage, Stone said she had been holding her winners card in her hand at the time the best picture victor was announced. Notably further down the list is Manchester By The Sea, another top contender in awards season, but settling at the number nine spot when it comes to most tweeted.
Moonlight's Mahershala Ali also won best supporting actor, while Barry Jenkins and Tarell Alvin McCraney won best-adapted screenplay.
The final win for this film will be the writing category for best original screenplay.
There was confusion and controversy at the Oscars as Moonlight won the best picture prize after La La Land was mistakenly announced as the victor.
I personally think that Denzel Washington's performance in "Fences" was the standout men's dramatic achievement this year, but Casey Affleck's delivery was spot on as well and, based upon other awards that have been given out this year, odds are that he'll take home the big prize as well. The package starts at $11,000 and features one-night accommodations in an EWOW Suite, a Veuve Clicquot-stocked refrigerator, a cocktail party for up to 20 guests, a private in-room bartender for the duration of the Oscars broadcast and a morning after Oxygen Blast at Bliss Spa for up to four people.
He said: "I opened the envelope and it said Emma Stone, "La La Land" - that's why I took such a long look at you and Faye". I knew I would screw this show up, I really did.
Jeff Bridges plays crotchety Texas Ranger Marcus Hamilton, who is looking for one last big scalp before retiring and figures out there is more to the bank heists than meets the eye. These protesters say they represent half of America and resent being stereotyped "as racist, sexist, and bigoted for voicing our political choice through Donald Trump". Even if they don't come, I'm just happy a lot of the movies and performances I liked past year actually got nominated for Oscars.
There may be nine nominees here, but clearly the fight this year is between La La Land and Moonlight.
Let's just not kid ourselves. A campaign has been launched on social media to boycott the Academy Awards ceremony, to protest what one activist called the "arrogant hypocrites" in the industry, who slam Trump and his supporters.
