Some may have forgotten but, last May, Sinead O'Connor went on one of her regular tirades and ended up claiming that Arsenio Hall may have had some responsibility in the death of Prince.
Hall's publicist also confirmed to ABC that he would be dismissing the lawsuit "now that Arsenio's reputation has been restored by Sinead's unequivocal reaction and apology".
After Prince died, O'Connor claimed in a series of Facebook posts that Hall had given the Purple Rain singer drugs over the years. Arsenio I've reported you to the Carver County Sherrif's office.
Hall's lawyers will file to drop the suit due to O'Connor's retraction. "You best get tidying your man cave".
After Sinead O'Connor accused Arsenio Hall of providing the late Prince with drugs, insinuating a connection to the icon's sudden death, the comedian fired back, revealing the truth and dropping a $5 million lawsuit! "The truth is that Hall never supplied illegal drugs to Prince, and he never "spiked" O'Connor with drugs", the paperwork continues".
In a joint statement from Hall and O'Connor, Hall revealed that "Sinead has retracted and apologized for statements she made about Arsenio past year, which prompted his defamation lawsuit against her".
"I sincerely apologize because those statements would be false, and I retract them unequivocally", O'Connor added. The posts containing the accusations, which included efforts to point the DEA in Hall's direction, have since been deleted from her Facebook page.
