Jim Harbaugh remains irked by Paul Finebaum, SEC as a whole

"Now, I don't think I was there long enough to be compared with Bill Walsh or Coach Seifert, etc.", Harbaugh said during a podcast with Tim Kawakami of the San Jose Mercury News.
Oh, we talked about the 49ers, too, of course, and the highlight was Harbaugh noting that he lasted four seasons under the current ownership - the longest any of their seven coaches (previous to just-hired Kyle Shanahan) have survived.
MI coach Jim Harbaugh is no different.
"I take pride in that", Harbaugh said.
Jim Harbaugh is busy competing for championships at the University of MI, just like he competed for championships with the San Francisco 49ers.
Harbaugh, now the head coach at MI, reflected on his brief time in the Bay Area and was especially proud of how long he lasted under the 49ers current ownership.
Harbaugh volunteered that he very much appreciated that Shanahan listed Harbaugh among great former 49ers coaches at Shanahan's introductory presser-as Shanahan sat next to owner Jed York.
"Maybe there should be an endurance medal, a courage medal for that", Harbaugh joked. It's hard to say what life would be like for the 49ers if they had kept Harbaugh, but apparently, that was almost impossible after hearing the coaches comments on York.
"This past season, as close to being flawless as any team I've been on without being ideal", Harbaugh said. You're hiring somebody and where do they go from there? Harbaugh perhaps would have made it more than four years if he had been working with new G.M. John Lynch.
Things have certainly changed for the 49ers lately, however. "Common-sense guys that are team guys - just the way they go about their business always speaks volumes". In that span, he took the Niners to the NFC Championship Game three years in a row (2011-2013), including one Super Bowl appearance.
