'Doubt' Pulled From CBS Schedule

It had aired at 10 p.m. Wednesday. The following week, the second season of "Criminal Minds: Beyond Border" will premiere, and will take over the timeslot going forward.

The network will show a "Bull" repeat in the time slot next week.

The legal drama starring Katherine Heigl, Steven Pasquale, Laverne Cox and Dule Hill premiered to a 0.8 rating in adults 18-49 on February 15 and fell to a 0.6 with Wednesday's episode.

It's unprecedented for the broadcast networks to go this far into the season before pulling the plug on a show. That was the lowest CBS Live+SD in-season drama series debut in the demo and the lowest rated show on any of the Big 4 last night.

In recent years, as audiences have rejected repeat episodes, the networks have shifted their approach to cancelling underperforming first-year series, and would now prefer to air a low-rated original episode than a repeat.

That's why ABC stuck by its instant flop Notorious, its fall replacement for Scandal.

From the 18-49 demographic, the pilot garnered piddling ratings amounting to 0.8.

Although the legal drama has not officially been cancelled, it will no longer be a part of the current schedule due to low ratings.

CBS has pulled Doubt off the schedule effective immediately, EW has learned.

There doesn't seem to be much doubt about Doubt's future.
