Disabled Boy, 9, Dies Weighing Only 15 Lbs

Officials report the four suspects who were arrested after a nine-year-old boy died from malnutrition all tested positive for drugs.

Deputies with the Vigo County Sheriff's Office responded to the home in the northern part of the county early Monday morning for a child that was suffering from cardiac arrest. He was transported to Union Hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.

"Try to imagine a 9-year-old that obviously has some developmental problems and is not a normal height for a 9-year-old".

At the time of his death, the child weighed about 15 pounds, Sheriff Greg Ewing said. This is what he deserves?

Four people have been arrested in connection with the young boy's death including including the Cameron's two guardians, Robin Lee Kraemer, 53, and Hubert Kraemer, 56.

"Essentially in my opinion, he was starved to death".

Due to his condition, a search warrant was executed at the home which led the arrests of Hubert Kraemer, Robin Kraemer, Chad Kraemer and Sarah Travioli. "What kind of animals are they?" "And tonight we've brought these four individuals to justice", Ewing said.

According to court documents obtained by myWabashValley.com, Robin Kraemer told sheriff's deputies that Cameron had suffered from pneumonia for the past week and the flu for the past several days. If convicted of neglect leading to death, they could each face up to 40 years in prison. They have since been removed and placed in protective services.

The victim's biological parents have been notified but, according to authorities, were not willing to provide a statement.

According to officials, those children belong to Chad Kraemer and Travioli.

All of the suspects were being held in the Vigo County Jail in lieu of $250,000 bond and were slated to appear in court on Thursday.
