Warriors-Clippers open second half sprint to finish

Chris Paul has been cleared by doctors and could return from a thumb injury for the Los Angeles Clippers' next National Basketball Association game against Golden State. And looking at the final score, they didn't really get embarrassed in the normal sense-the Warriors are a better team, the Clippers are missing Chris Paul, and it's a road game.

"He looked great. He went through the whole practice [on Tuesday]".

Rowan Kavner of the Clippers official website tweeted out that Paul had been cleared and could be in the lineup on Thursday following his January surgery to fix a torn ligament in his thumb.

Los Angeles Clippers point guard Chris Paul has been cleared by medical staff to return from a thumb injury. But if it's a close game, I would expect Paul to play because the Clippers need their quarterback back with the Warriors, Spurs and Hornets on the slate by Sunday.

"I don't care how much your train, run and do drills, nothing is like playing".

The Clippers come out of the All-Star break on a four-game winning streak.

But Paul said the opponent wouldn't determine how soon he returns. Due to injuries these two have barely been on the court at the same time this season.

"We were playing without Blake, but with Chris, then neither, then no Chris but Blake was just coming back and we were trying to get him going", Rivers said. While the Warriors, with the best record in the league, want to cement their hold on the top seed and keep their players ready, Rivers' team has a more daunting task.
