A post to StarWars.com this week revealed the first cast photo from the Han Solo spinoff, which includes Alden Ehrenreich, Woody Harrelson, Emilia Clarke, Donald Glover, and Phoebe Waller-Bridge, the latter of whom is playing an unspecified role.
Production for the 2018 "Star Wars" Han Solo movie has already started.
Peter Mayhew was the first to portray Han Solo's (Harrison Ford) loveable Wookiee co-pilot Chewbacca and while the English-American actor would certainly love to reprise the role, it seems like Mayhew's age and his ailing knee problems hinder him from doing so. Directors Phil Lord and Chris Miller also posed with the stars in the Millenium Falcon.
Westworld and Line of Duty actress Thandie Newton will appear in the film, but was absent from the cast photo.
What matters here is that social justice warriors were lured into a false sense of security by the two previous Star Wars films-The Force Awakens and Rogue One-and now they're angry that Disney didn't specifically cater to their needs a third time.
Lord and Miller said, from the film's set: "Watching such inspired people from all over the world, with such unique voices, come together for the sole goal of making art, is nothing short of miraculous". In a statement they said, "We can't think of anything amusing to say, because we just feel really moved, and really lucky".
Written by Lawrence and Jon Kasdan, it will be produced by Kathleen Kennedy, Allison Shearmur, Simon Emanuel, and co-produced by Kiri Hart, Susan Towner, and Will Allegra. As seems to be usual, becoming a part of the Star Wars movie world invoked awe in the duo, "watching such inspired people from all over the world, with such unique voices, come together for the sole objective of making art, is nothing short of miraculous". Their executive producers are Lawrence Kasdan and Jason McGatlin.
