Nintendo: Switch Digital Games Cannot be Shared Across Multiple Systems

This year, the eShop will have more than 60 indie games in addition to digital downloads of mainstream games, DLC, and more.

Unfortunately, the Nintendo Virtual Console won't be ready for the Nintendo Switch at launch but more information on the subject will be given on a future date.

Ability to link Nintendo Accounts to your Nintendo Switch console.

Apparently Nintendo Switch digital game purchases can't be shared across multiple systems, hinting the same Nintendo Account can't be active on multiple Switch consoles. Games can now be ordered via Nintendo's website so they can automatically download to the Switch, provided there is a Wi-Fi connection. Earlier today Nintendo revealed some new information regarding some indie titles that will be showing up on their new console. It's still not clear whether or not your old Virtual Console games will transfer to the Switch, but then again, it could be a little while before the Switch's VC is even accessible at all. Nintendo has now shed some light on these mysteries in a press release.

Console and accessory pre-orders are unavailable, but Toys-R-Us still has pre-order options for game titles like Mario Kart 8 Deluxe and 1-2-Switch.

Nintendo plans to release a day-one update for the system-although, despite the name, it's slated to arrive "just prior" to launch on March 3.

Nintendo Switch will launch worldwide on March 3, 2017.

As we all learned from Switch being out for the public, the available internal memory of the console is only 25.9 GB.

Finally, Nintendo will offer both background downloads and remote downloads for the Nintendo Switch at launch. This was a decision made by Nintendo in an attempt to keep the Switch at the $299.99 price point. There's no need to set one, but if you do it gives you another way to log in to your account. Imagine if the next iPhone that launched couldn't access Apple's App Store - that's how ridiculous this is.
