Meet the F1 W08 EQ Power+

Three-times world champion Hamilton's comments came on the eve of his Mercedes team's launch of their new vehicle for the 2017 season.

"When we're driving we're picking out braking points, bumps, tyre rubber marks on the track, all these different things to help get you through the corner quickest. but because of this (shared) data they (team-mates) can just copy you".

Speaking about his first impression of the auto, Hamilton said: "It felt incredible".

Newly-recruited Valterri Bottas is also feeling the excitement for this year's season as the newest driver to join Mercedes-AMG Petronas. "But F1 is catching up, and I think there's a lot of catching up to do".

Valtteri Bottas has said that he is happy to have a two-time world champion in his corner as he steps up to Formula 1's top team in 2017.

Lewis Hamilton was absolutely impressed with the new Mercedes W08 for the 2017 season. "Yesterday was the first time, seeing the auto come together".

LEWIS HAMILTON says he would never duck the challenge of defending a world title like Nico Rosberg. Then I see that vehicle and I am like, "I think I am going to stay".

This, girls and boys, is the vehicle that will win the 2017 Formula 1 world championship.

Hamilton later returned to the circuit on slick Pirelli tires, pushing harder for a number of laps before pitting for the official launch. Every now and then I have a thought about what I will do afterwards.

"I'm the best equipped I have ever been to work with my teammate and manage the relationship with my experience and maturity".

"I think it is possible".

"When Nico made a decision to call it a day, of course the initial information came as a surprise". Sure, it's good on paper, but the true test will be when the red lights go out and the races start to count.

"Yesterday was the first time I'd seen the auto coming together, seeing the guys working in the factory putting this thing together, ' said three-time world champion, Lewis Hamilton".

"I really hope that the engineers, who are the smartest guys, are wrong and I hope that the spectacle is greater and the most competitive that it's ever been".
