Although LG has now announced the new smartphone, the company has stated that it will get an official unveil and will be on show during MWC 2017. Like the original X power, the X power2 is all about battery power, packing a 4,500mAh battery that LG says can "operate for an entire weekend without recharging". The phone features a high-speed charging technology; an hour of charging provides 50% battery power.
Each model in the X series incorporates different exclusive features that are usually found only in premium smartphones.
LG is also touting the X power2's display, which offers a Comfort View that promises to make it easier to read eBooks and comics.
The LG X power2 features a 5.5-inch HD In-cell Touch display, offering a large and expanded screen with clear, vivid colors.
LG's latest smartphone comes out into the markets with many impressive specs, but the most noteworthy thing about the LG X Power2 smartphone is the battery that it comes out with. It achieves this by reducing the amount of blue light that it emits, which may lower eye fatigue.
It is equipped with a 5MP wide angle front camera with LED flash above the display for taking selfies and wefies of up to eight people without a selfie stick. In terms of cameras, the LG X power2 comes packing a 13-megapixel rear camera along with a 5-megapixel front-facing camera. Also, Auto Shot captures a photo once a face is detected.
The phone will come in 2GB and 1.5 GB RAM and be run by Android Nougat 7.0. In terms of connectivity, the X power2 supports LTE, 3G, 2G, Wi-Fi (802.11 b, g, n), Bluetooth 4.2 and USB 2.0 and USB OTG.
In terms of availability, LG has yet to confirm exact pricing or release dates, but has said the smartphone will become available some time in March.
