Five times World Cup winners Brazil will play Australia in a friendly at the Melbourne Cricket Ground on June 13, giving the Socceroos the toughest of warm-ups for the Confederations Cup later that month.
Brazil will play in Australia when the Brasil Global Tour takes Tite's side to Melbourne later this year.
Ange Postecoglou's men will also have the World Cup on their minds, as they continue qualifying matches in a bid to cement a spot for Russian Federation 2018.
The likes of Neymar, Philippe Coutinho, Marcelo and Thiago Silva will tackle the Aussie stars in Melbourne just four days after Brazil meet South American rivalsArgentina at the iconic venue.
Ange Postecoglou's Australia face Saudi Arabia in a World Cup qualifier in Adelaide on June 8 and the coach had been seeking an additional match before they head to the Confederations Cup in Russian Federation.
Five-times world champions Brazil are now second in the Federation Internationale de Football Association world rankings, 52 places above Australia.
The last time the two teams met was in September of 2013 and it certainly didn't turn out the way Australia would have hoped, going down 6-0 in Brasilia.
An official announcement confirming the fixture is expected in the coming hours, so keep it locked on The Roar as this story continues to break.
