Beyoncé cancels her Coachella appearance, will headline in 2018

Beyoncé will no longer be performing at Coachella on the "advice of her doctors", the music festival announced in a statement on Thursday, February 23.

Beyonce, oft-regarded as the most unstoppable force on Earth, has pulled out of the lineup for Coachella 2017, reports the Associated Press.

Amid speculation that she would have to cancel his scheduled performance, TMZ reported that she would still be compensated via an insurance clause were she to drop out. It would have been the first time that she had been a part of Coachella and she'd have been the first female headliner since Bjork back in 2007. The Lemonade singer was set to perform on April 15 and April 22.

It was not clear who will perform in her absence. We are incredibly grateful that our family will be growing by two, and we thank you for your well wishes. She will instead headline in 2018. Of course, the news comes as a result of her pregnancy.

While losing Beyonce from the line-up is a bit of a blow for fans, other performers include Lorde, Bon Iver, Future, Gucci Mane, Justice, DJ Snake, DJ Khaled and Father John Misty.
