American Gods Premiere Date Set for April!

As Starz gears up to premiere a new series adapted from Neil Gaiman's 2001 novel, the newly released American Gods poster is certainly going to have viewers' imaginations running wild. The season will consist of 8 episodes.
Starz has confirmed that the first in the eight-episode series will launch on April 30, following a public premiere at SXSW on March 11. World, Jonathan Tucker as Low Key Lyesmith, Gillian Anderson as Media, Peter Stormare as Czernobog, Orlando Jones as Mr. Nancy, Demore Barnes as Mr. Ibis, Kristin Chenoweth as Easter, and Cloris Leachman as Zorya Vechernyaya. Shadow Moon (Whittle) is an ex-con who, left adrift by the recent death of his wife, becomes bodyguard and traveling partner to conman Mr. Wednesday (McShane).
For those unfamiliar, American Gods isa best-selling fantasy novel that follows an ongoing war between the old gods and the new gods, detailing the looming threat faced by the elder gods who feel a bit threatened by the new crew and their modern-day access to money, technology, and celebrity. At least not on American Gods.
The new series, based on the bestseller from Neil Gaiman, and from showrunners Bryan Fuller and Michael Green will debut on Starz on Sunday, April 30 at 9 PM ET/PT. Fuller, who was originally going to oversee American Gods and Star Trek: Discovery on CBS, recently departed the latter project to devote his full attention to American Gods.
The cast features Ricky Whittle as Shadow Moon, Ian McShane as Mr. Wednesday, Emily Browning as Laura Moon, Pablo Schreiber as Mad Sweeney, Yetide Badaki as Bilquis, Bruce Langley as Technical Boy, Crispin Glover as Mr. Executive producing the series is Craig Cegielski and Stefanie Berk as well as Fuller, Green, Slade, Adam Kane and Neil Gaiman.
