'Today' show anchor Hoda Kotb adopts baby girl

During the "Trending" segment of this morning's TODAY on NBC, Hoda Kotb phoned in to announce some awesome news the crew of the morning show - she has adopted a attractive baby girl! She adopted a handsome baby daughter, who she named Haley Joy.

Kotb ended the announcement with a simple message for her Today team: "I love you guys". "She is the love of my life". Through tears, Kotb shared the news with her co-workers over the phone saying, "This is my daughter".

"Today" show anchor Matt Lauer says the girl is the "luckiest" on the planet and Kotb will be "one of the most fantastic moms" he can ever imagine.

"How hard it has been to keep this secret", said her on-screen partner Kathie Lee Gifford.

"I do have something to tell you", Kotb, 52, began, "but how about this? But instead of telling you, I'm going to show you something", she said.

The TV personality, who has no children from her previous marriage to Burzis Kanga, alluded to her newborn daughter on Friday with a cryptic Instagram passage. "Congrats. on your attractive new baby!"
