Bulls 'Have No Plans' To Trade Jimmy Butler

The camp of Jimmy Butler expects him to remain with the Chicago Bulls through Thursday's trade deadline.

The latest National Basketball Association trade rumors suggest that the Bulls and Boston Celtics may come together on a trade involving Butler. I don't worry about it. While the Bulls have taken numerous calls on Butler as the deadline approaches, they reportedly haven't been the ones making the calls, so while they will entertain offers it doesn't sound like they're actively shopping the up-and-coming All-Star. It don't bother or scare me none. "Hopefully I'm not going to get traded but I don't know".

Two NBA executives who spoke with Frank Isola of the New York Daily News expressed doubt that Celtics general manager Danny Ainge would trade the Brooklyn Nets' first-round draft pick - which will likely have the best chance of turning into No. 1 overall with how bad the Nets have been - for Butler. "Control what I can control, like going on vacation".

DeMarcus Cousins had always been linked to the Celtics in trade rumors, but the C's seemingly weren't willing to bite the Boogie bullet this week as Cousins was traded to the New Orleans Pelicans Sunday night. But it's not just the points, he's also grabbing a career-high 6.3 rebounds and dishing out 5.0 assists per game, as he has tried to carry the Bulls as a one-man army.

It would seem that if the Celtics really wanted Cousins they could have gotten him as New Orleans did not own the amount of quality assets that the C's now possess prior to the deal.

As of now, the player the Celtics seem most keen on is Butler. The Bulls are sending mixed signals in trade talks involving Butler, keeping their cards close to their chest.
