BMC Elections 2017: Varun Dhawan's name goes MISSING from the voting list

This year my name has not shown up on the list, unfortunately. Varun Dhawan, however, had no such luck, and later told reporters: "It's weird, because I voted a year ago".

He said that it was "upsetting that I couldn't find my name on the voter list".

Actor Varun Dhawan on Tuesday complained of his name not being in the voters' list as he went to cast his vote for the BMC elections in Mumbai. Celebrities like Anushka Sharma, Ranveer Singh, John Abraham and several others were pictured with inked fingers after having voted.

On Twitter, Varun was rebuked by some followers for apparently having said he voted in "Rajya Sabha elections" previous year. The same has happened to Varun Dhawan as his name is missing from the electoral rolls and thus he could not cast his vote.

On the work front, the actor is now busy promoting his upcoming flick "Badrinath Ki Dulhania" opposite Alia Bhatt.

The actors were shooting for the Holi special episode of the show as their movie "Badri Ki Dulhaniya" is set to release on March 10.

Varun and Alia have been doing all that it takes to promote their film, which is a spin-off of 2013 release, Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania.
