Virat Kohli Becomes Global Ambassador Of Puma For Rs 100 Crores

India skipper Virat Kohli is not just amassing runs by the plenty, he has also pulled off the biggest endorsement deal by an Indian sports personality with a single brand.

The deal, reported to be for eight years, ensures that the Indian cricketer joins an elite list of athletes like Usain Bolt, Thierry Henry, Asafa Powell, Sergio Aguero and Cesc Fabregas who are global ambassadors for the Germany-based brand.

He added, "Both Puma and I are committed to a long-term partnership".

According to a report in The Economic Times the deal involves a fixed payment and royalty depending on Puma's business.

That deal came to an end past year and this is the first time he is endorsing a sports brand since.

While other legends like MS Dhoni and Sachin Tendulkar have been a part of the Rs 100 crore club, they have received this amount through multi-year contracts with various brands.

Team India captain, Virat Kohli strikes an endorsement deal of Rs 110-crore with Puma, the German multinational company.

Kohli is expected to endorse the Puma brand in multiple markets where cricket is a popular sport.

Virat Kohli is world cricket's biggest thing at the moment and it was expected that big names would pursue him to sign as their brand ambassador.

After waiting for nearly a day Kohli finally took it to twitter and revealed his secret through yet another post.

Virat Kohli recently took the reign of Test captaincy from Mahendra Singh Dhoni after the latter chose to step down from the post in January 2017.
