Paul McCartney and Ringo Starr were in the studio together over the weekend working on the latter's latest album. "I love you man peace and love", he captioned the image.
The twosome were also joined by ex-Eagles star Joe Walsh in the studio in a following post.
Rumours of a new collaboration surfaced last week when the pair were spotted having dinner together in Santa Monica, alongside Walsh, Tom Hanks and Dave Grohl.
The two surviving members of The Beatles met up at Ringo's home studio in Los Angeles on Sunday (19Feb17), with the drummer, 76, posting a picture of himself and his former bandmate on Twitter.

Starr, who's now working on the follow-up to his 2015 album Postcards from Paradise, shared the snap on Twitter thanking his longtime friend and collaborator for a great studio session. McCartney most recently appeared on Starr's 2010 album Y Not, playing bass on "Peace Dream" and backup vocals on "Walk With You".
