NBA Star Kyrie Irving Thinks the Earth is Flat

Flat Earthers got a dose of adrenaline about a year ago when rapper B.o.B took to Twitter to tell the world that Earth is flat.

That's the belief the 24-year-old Cavaliers guard stated during a February 17 "Road Trippin' with RJ and Channing" podcast posted on that sent the Twitter world into a frenzy Friday.

Frye and Jefferson said yes, but Irving disagreed.

Frye and Jefferson said yes, but according to Kyrie: "This is not even a conspiracy theory". Thus, he concluded that he also personally believes that the earth is flat too.

"It's right in front of our faces", he said.

When asked how he can believe the flat theory, Irving responded, "Because it is right in front of our faces". "It was smiles, hearty chuckles and the subtle awareness that they could basically say anything and we'd leap back to our seats to tweet about it".

He thanked civic leaders in New Orleans and Pelicans owners Gayle and Tom Benson for their willingness and ability - on short notice - to host the city's third All-Star Weekend since 2009. He then went on to say that he believes that the earth is flat and also that dinosaurs never existed. Kyrie Irving was clearly just trying to be provocative which had been effective as he said. 'Oh man, what does he actually think? "I just feel like the fact it's even a conversation is hilarious".

"I know the science". It's a social phenomenon, what do you think about it? Are you going to try to protect your image?' I mean, it really doesn't matter.

Irving got some support from Golden State's Draymond Green. "That's what he thinks". And there are a lot of very simple things you can do to address that skepticism and see for yourself that Earth is round.

"The earth is flat", Irving said during the podcast.

The guys have gotten LeBron James, Kevin Love, and Kyrie Irving to come on at various points, and it's a relaxed and often illuminating look into the relationships the guys on the team have built.
