Father and Son Killed In Head-On Collision With One Another

A father and son were killed this weekend when the vehicles they were driving collided head-on with each other, reports say.

Jeffrey Brasher and Austin Brasher, 50 and 22 respectively, are dead this morning.

Neither Brasher was wearing a seatbelt, according to reports. The crash occurred on Fayette County 49, one mile west of Winfield.

According to State Troopers, alcohol was a factor in the crash.

Austin Brasher was driving a 2004 Chevy pickup and Jeffrey Brasher was driving a 2006 Ford pickup. Austin, 20, died a few hours later after being rushed to the University of Alabama at Birmingham Hospital.

Pursuant to the tragedy, family member Jennifer Brasher posted on Facebook that the dad and son, who lived in nearby Bankston, 'will forever" be her "guardian angels'.

"Our hearts are broken while our faith remains in Him".
