Dani Alves slams Barcelona for being false and ungrateful

During the last three seasons at Barcelona I had been hearing many rumours linking me with a Barcelona exit but nobody from the board ever talked to me about it. Meanwhile, the Brazil worldwide also slammed Jose Mourinho during a candid interview in which the right-back also discuss his relationship with Real Madrid ace Cristiano Ronaldo.

"I was only offered to renew when the Federation Internationale de Football Association transfer ban came in". Despite persistent rumors that Alves would leave during his last years at Barcelona, the Brazilian claims "no one ever spoke to me to my face" about it.

"I like to feel wanted, and if someone doesn't want me then I'm leaving", Dani Alves explained to ABC.

"The people who run Barcelona have no idea how to treat their players".

For a player who won 23 titles including six La Liga's and three Champions League trophies, this is an incredible statement from Alves. They were extremely false and ungrateful. I will repeat it to make myself clear: I respect [Ronaldo].

Dani Alves says he has no ill feelings towards Cristiano Ronaldo, blaming the media for creating tension between the two. Everybody tell me that Cristiano is a great professional. That was when I went and signed a deal with a termination clause.

The 33-year-old has been restricted to just 11 Serie A appearances this season after fracturing his leg in November, but he has returned to first-team action in recent weeks. "As for CR7, it's different, he was my rival and I had to compete with him".

The following February, the Portugal global avoided him at the Ballon d'Or ceremony in response to the comments, according to Daniel Prescott of the same outlet.
