Paul Pogba 'excited' to face brother in Europa League - Jose Mourinho

United are favourites to earn a lead from Thursday's first leg at Old Trafford due to their fine recent form and the Saint-Etienne's supposed lack of quality in their squad-they are now fifth in Ligue 1.

Florentin Pogba knows it will wind up his younger brother Paul if he and his Saint-Étienne team-mates are able to get the better of Manchester United.

"We're both determined players", Florentin said, per the Manchester Evening News. I think only Mum Pogba is in a little bit of trouble, which is normal.

"I played with [Morrison] from eight, nine".

Florentin has revealed he has been waiting for a match-up like this for years, and is excited to have the whole family at the game when the two brothers meet each other on the pitch. "I think it's a good, nice destiny".

"We know that the Europa League is also a competition where we play on Thursdays and that makes it even more hard for us".

He then completed a successful trial at CS Sedan-Ardennes in 2009 (a second-tier club at the time who are now in the third-tier) and his excellent performances with the club's reserves enabled him to sign his first professional contract in March 2010. They've had a little bit of fun in training but we are focused on training.

It has been a mixed start to life for Pogba at Manchester United, with Mourinho's men struggling to produce consistent form in the Premier League to leave them sixth in the table.

He has three Premier League goals to his name - all scored for West Ham in the 2013/14 season - and will be keen to return to the top flight after failing to make an impact during 18 months in Serie A. "Him and me. If he's on a run, and I have to tackle him, I'll tackle him".

Pressed over his reluctance to pick Shaw, Mourinho replied: "Because my team is playing well and I am happy with my back four and I'm going to repeat: (Antonio) Valencia, (Eric) Bailly, (Chris) Smalling, Daley Blind".
