Chairman of Reliance Industries, Mukesh Ambani, on Wednesday during the NASSCOM India Leadership Forum said that the president of United States Donald Trump can be a blessing in disguise for India's IT industry.
"Actually, Trump might a blessing in disguise".
The Jio sim was first launched for the employees of Reliance Industries Limited (RIL) on December 27.
Ambani, who answered a volley of questions from Neelam Dhawan, VP-Global Industries and Strategic Alliances, APJ at HP Enterprises, also said that India should not worry about what the world thinks. The problem is that the Dollars 155-billion domestic IT industry nets over 65 per cent of its revenues from the US.
Reliance owner Mukesh Ambani proudly announced the success of latest telecom venture Jio, as it crossed its target of acquiring 100 million customers in shortest time.
"The world might want to build walls around". The Jio had crossed the 100 million subscribers in this short time. He also credited the Aadhaar-based verification of the applicant's details for this.
"To my mind, data is the new natural resource". "We just set ourselves a goal. If you focus only on financial return, the chances are that you will not really become great and solve your own passion", he added. As a nation we have to be the capital of real implementation of blockchain. We have the opportunity to make sure we adopt artificial intelligence and natural language processing, adopt drones in our own logistics. "And secondly, you can not do anything without the right team - these are the two non-negotiable for me", said the owner of the world's largest startup, Reliance Jio. "I think the opportunities are huge and we now have the infrastructure to do it in our own market and become one of the largest software markets in the world", Ambani concluded.
