Now sitting at (19-38), the Lakers will try to reach that mark with a win against the (17-39) Phoenix Suns on Wednesday night at the Talking Stick Resort Arena. 36-point win differential.
While there may not be any blockbuster trades between now and then, there have been a few rumored for the future that has caught the attention of many fans, including one involving Anthony Davis and Russell Westbrook being traded to the Los Angeles Lakers. "We had great energy tonight".
The Lakers did not exactly conclude huddles with chants of "1, 2, 3, Cancun" as they once did before facing elimination in the 1998 National Basketball Association playoffs. It was his first night off this season. "But I think we're on that right path to do so". "That was nice to see". However, the youth on the Suns' roster are playing more minutes than that on the Lakers.
Marquese Chriss added 15 points and eight rebounds for Phoenix, with all four of his baskets on dunks. "If we keep guys on the floor and get consistent we will be fine". Phoenix was destroyed 133-102 in a game not almost as close as the score indicated. "We always are just kind of injured".
"I want to go out there and try to get the [All-Star] MVP. The message is, no matter the circumstance, you've got to come out and compete".
The Suns scored the first seven points of the game and were up 21-6 by midway through the first quarter.
Little changed, though. The Lakers trailed, 32-15, in what tied a season-low in points scored in the first quarter, a mark the Lakers also set against Phoenix on November 6.
Phoenix had 14 fastbreak points in the quarter and Booker's second 3-pointer increased the lead to 32-10 with 1:41 left.
Though Russell had 21 points and four assists while going 7 for 20 from the field, he missed six of his first nine shots. "The bigs were running the floor and getting in position".
In his fourth season as a Sun, Bledsoe is putting up the best statistical numbers of his career. The final margin was their biggest lead against any team this season. The Suns are the second worst team in the National Basketball Association, and not that far behind them are the Lakers with the third worst record. The disparity in minutes between Devin Booker and D'Angelo Russell is a noticeable difference. Only Washington G Bradley Beal (229) has more. He left the game with a lower back contusion when he fell on a sideline camera in the second quarter, but was able to return in the second half.
