Fire Evacuates Disneyland Parking Structure, Several Cars Damaged

Anaheim Police Department officials said an estimated nine cars somehow caught fire inside the popular Mickey and Friends parking structure.

Anaheim police said Monday that the fires that broke out at the Mickey & Friends Parking Structure have been extinguished and firefighters are working to clear smoke.

Four cars were deemed a total loss and four others were damaged in the fire. Police said the victims suffered non-life threatening injuries and refused to be taken to the hospital. Viewers captured smoke billowing from the second floor of the parking garage and shared their images with ABC7 by using #abc7eyewitness on social media.

The fire broke out about 5 p.m.in the Mickey & Friends Parking Structure, which was evacuated and shut down for about two hours before tired families waiting outside to leave could return to their cars.

During the 3-hour evacuation, the trams serving the structure were halted.

"A lot of people are just exhausted, they've been here all day". "I'm kind of hoping it's not my vehicle".

The incident had been reported just before 4:40 p.m., according to the Los Angeles Times.
