Cavaliers' Kevin Love adds knee scare to list of injury woes

The veteran big man originally experienced discomfort in his left knee during Saturday evening's matchup against the Denver Nuggets.

Kevin Love will not play Tuesday against his old team in Minnesota and his All-Star status could be in jeopardy because of some left knee pain.

On Sunday, he was evaluated at Cleveland Clinic Sports Health and underwent an MRI.

The evaluation, which included an MRI, led the Cavs to determine Love will require additional treatment in the coming days, at which point Love will be evaluated again.

Cavs forward Kevin Love will not be playing when the team heads to Minnesota to play the Timberwolves on Tuesday, February 14. After visiting the Timberwolves - Love's former team - the Cavs will host IN on Wednesday night IN the final game before the All-Star break. Love is a reserve for the Eastern Conference.

Love is now averaging a double-double this season (20 points per game, 11.1 rebounds per game). So far this season, Love has missed seven games mostly due to ongoing back issues.
