Galaxy S8 large screen variant to be called S8+, suggests leaked logo

A report coming straight out of South Korea has disclosed that Samsung is aiming to sell about 60 million units of its upcoming Galaxy S8 this year. Endless rumours and leaks have made the wait seem impossible.

Samsung Galaxy S8, with so many rumors and leaks floating around the surface has become the most interesting phone this year. Samsung is expected to launch the handset on 29 March and release it in the market on 21 April, noted evleaks.

Additionally in a report to Venture Beat, Evan Blass said Samsung will be unveiling two models of the Galaxy S8 with larger display that appears on the Samsung's oversized Galaxy Note.

While the schematic diagram of the Galaxy S8 showed 140.14 x 72.20 x 7.30mm in measurement.

Both smartphones will be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 along with Samsung Exynos versions according to the region. Samsung reportedly expects the plus model to be more popular among consumers than the Galaxy S8. Also, there will be storage options of 64GB and 128GB. The Galaxy S8+ is expected to be available globally. Since the smartphone will not be housed by the home button, Samsung has moved the fingerprint sensor at the rear next to the camera lens.

Samsung will also incorporating the two new phones with an iris scanner, an S Pen as a separate accessory and it's new AI assistant Bixby, said to be based on the S Voice.

An article by VentureBeat had previously written that the change in the release date was for the company to have more time to work on the Galaxy S8. However, the Galaxy S8 will be unveiled in a separate event in NY on March 29.
