Panneerselvam vs Sasikala: 10 points about Tamil Nadu's power struggle

The ruling government of Tamil Nadu is witnessing a face-off between Sasikala and O Panneerselvam for the post of Chief Minister of the state. The Sasikala faction claims to have the support of at least 130 MLAs.

For close to three decades, Sasikala, known as Chinnamma (younger mother) to her supporters, had been an nearly permanent fixture in Jayalalitha's life, and was often seen with the former chief minister on public platforms.

Sasikala's meeting with the Governor lasted about 40 minutes.
