McConnell finished with eight points and eight assists, while Ersan Ilyasova had 16 points for the Sixers.
James Harden was one of six Rockets with double digits, finishing with 30 points, 11 rebounds and 8 assists. Patrick Beverley added 17 points for Houston, and Montrezl Harrell scored 15. They were plagued by a season-worst 22 turnovers that the Rockets converted into 27 points. The Rockets swept the two-game season series with the Hornets, improving to 39-17.
Nicolas Batum led the Hornets with 15 points, 10 assists and eight rebounds.
They trailed by four at halftime, but broke the game open by outscoring Charlotte 36-22 in the third quarter.
They hit 13 3-pointers, including seven in their third-quarter surge.
Our models now project Dekker for only 6.7 points, 3.5 rebounds, 1.0 assists and 0.6 blocks over 17.4 minutes, but he would be looking at a sizable jump in both minutes and production if Gordon were to sit.
The Hornets have lost nine of their last ten games, placing them ninth in the Eastern Conference.
Hornets 111, Nets 107: U.S. guard Kemba Walker, Italian swingman Marco Belinelli and French forward Nicolas Batum scored 17 points each as the Charlotte Hornets snapped a seven-game losing streak with a 111-107 victory over the visiting Brooklyn Nets.
The Hornets led by as many as nine in the first half. He underwent surgery earlier this week and will be out four to six weeks. After snapping their seven-game losing streak last time out, the Hornets couldn't string wins together. He missed a couple of games back in January when his back started hurting, so there is a chance that the Rockets play it safe with their fragile swingman.
With the loss, the Hornets fell to 0-2 on the season against the Rockets. The Rockets were coming off a 128-104 win over Orlando on Tuesday.

Trail Blazers 114, Mavericks 113: Portland's C.J. McCollum scored the last of his game-high 32 points on a last-second jumper to give the Trail Blazers a 114-113 victory at Dallas.
The Hornets host the Clippers and Philadelphia before hitting the road for the remainder of February.
