Mauricio Pochettino: Victory for Tottenham at Liverpool wouldn't worry Chelsea

Tottenham are sound at the back, have a nice rhythm and an established way of playing but they don't have the firepower on the bench to mount a real challenge this season. "It is true that the three times we have played in the Premier League it has been a draw and because of that we are thinking it will be a very tough game".
"It is not [about sending] a message to Chelsea".
Liverpool team news to follow.
Alli, whose team are second, nine points behind Chelsea, said: "The team's done very well this month, not just me individually."We've had lots of players in form so it's an honour to win it".
Liverpool have to get the three points in order to have any chance of catching Spurs because they would leave themselves too far behind and to rely on Spurs losing three more games would be hard.
If Chelsea prove uncatchable, Tottenham will want to secure Champions League qualification again, as well as winning the race for second - something they failed to do previous year.
Pochettino pointed out that this seems to be an affliction with which many of Spurs' rivals are struggling (although Jürgen Klopp's team are unbeaten against the top six) and the Argentinian is not unduly anxious. The control we showed today was important, as were the chances we created. "Today it is about you".
Spurs travel to Anfield still searching for three points on the road at any of the clubs in the upper echelons of the Premier League.

"For me Liverpool have one of the best squads, if not in England then in Europe, and it's sure they will be motivated because Tottenham against Liverpool is always a big match".
So much is on the line for tomorrow's fixture that even a draw would be considered a blow to Liverpool as well as Tottenham's title hopes.
It is a balance Pochettino has also had to strike with his own pressing style of play.
"We look at it and say, when we're going to bring subs on, "what do we need them to do"?"
"I just like the way he comes over", said Redknapp when asked to explain Pochettino's qualities.
"Of course it is important we have Hugo Lloris, the captain of France, he is an experienced player and can maybe give better advice than younger players", Pochettino told Sky Sports. Spurs will also know that in the game at the lane earlier this season, Liverpool really should have walked away with three points and they really did dominate the game. You need to be natural, spontaneous and believe in the way you play, use your methods.
While Spurs have struggled in recent years to maintain their physical intensity through the whole season, they have been close to their peak in recent weeks.
