United States man dead after assault in Toronto

A 24-year-old American who was in Toronto celebrating a bachelor party was beaten to death outside a Little Italy bar early Saturday morning in what police say appears to have been a "completely unprovoked" attack.

According to Toronto Medics, the victim was transported to a local trauma center in life-threatening condition but died a short time later in hospital.

The 24-year-old American man was in Toronto with a group of men, all from the US, celebrating a bachelor party in a bar named Blind Tiger in the city's Little Italy neighborhood. "These individuals, in fact, were approached by a group of males and (the visitors) told them to leave them alone because they weren't interested in any trouble", Toronto police homicide squad Det. Detectives are investigating and canvassing the scene. He was last seen wearing a black top and black trousers. He was last seen wearing a black top with black trousers.

Investigators say a group of men, visiting from the USA, were at a function (in the College Street and Manning Avenue area) when one of them was assaulted by a group of seven to nine men. One suspect is described as a white male between 26 and 27 years old with short black hair and wearing a black top and black trousers.
