Back in 1993, one Chicago Cubs fan predicted in his high school yearbook that the team would win the World Series 23 years later.
The Cubs haven't won the National League pennant since 1945, and haven't won a World Series since 1908 - which makes this a pretty insane prediction.
It's not the first outlandish prediction on when the Cubs would break their curse and win a World Series. Mike Lee who graduated from a California high school and now lives in Chicago didn't even remember he wrote it as his senior quote until his classmate, Marcos Meza, reminded him in 2009 when they friended each other on Facebook.
"I said, 'that's an amusing quote, that's great", classmate Marcos Meza, who has been friends with Lee since seventh grade, told InsideEdition.com.
Fast forward to 2016 and the Cubs are headed to their first World Series in 71 years.
Michael Lee could not immediately be reached for comment on the story. "After my Dodgers lost it was time for me to make this go viral and BeLEEve in the Cubs for 2016".
"He posted the photo of his prediction on August 8th", Meza said.
"It's not like Bartman interfering with the ball but I think the Cubs are there", he said.
The Cubs will have to defy recent history in order for Lee's prediction to come true.
